DALE is a level cou clair with many improvements over her dam already as a young doe. She has the most level topline in the herd including the most level rump from hip-to-pin (42 RA). Our nicest kid from 2014, she was 1st place senior kid at the Del Mar Fair her only time shown that year.
As a milking yearling, she freshened in May 2015 with a shapely mammary that is correct in all aspects, just lacking the capacity of our other yearlings. Her appraisal record shows the correctness throughout with E or V scores in all structural categories except feet (+). She was shown at the ADGA National show where she placed 8th. We learned that she doesn't udder-up like the rest of the show string, she will absorb milk if not milked-out in time. With that lesson learned, she fared much better at Washington State Fair placing 1st milking yearling to end the season!
Last year as a 2nd fresh two year-old her added capacity has balanced her-out keeping her at the top of the class and finishing her championship. Unfortunately, we were not in agreement with the 2016 appraiser regarding her evaluation. She scored V or E in all structural categories once again (except feet were +) and feel that she is easily a 2 point higher final score doe.
Now a three year-old in 2017, she has really matured into one of our most balanced does. She was 1st/2nd udder 3 year-old at the ADGA National Show and part of our winning dairy herd & breeder's trio groups. We are quite excited with her accomplishment becoming a 7th CONSECUTIVE generation show champion that we have bred...we have kept her daughters the past two years for a future 8th generation! As you can see from the three generation two year-old photos below, this family just gets better!
