CHALICE is a beautiful, golden two-tone chamoisee excelling in general appearance with correct rear legs, pasterns and feet. She was a showy kid placing 5th at the Des Moines National Show. As a senior yearling she was junior champion and Best in Show at the Rogue Valley DGA and first at the Western Washington Fair.

Her two year-old, first freshening produced an impressive mammary system with a near ideal rear udder (50 in height!) and udder shape. She finished her championship at her second show (pictured below, right) and appraised 89/EEEE with EX head, rear legs, back & rump. She was 9th place at the National Show, Champion at the Evergreen State Fair, and Reserve Champion at the Clackamas County Fair where she was part of our Supreme Dairy Herd in Show.

Several failed A/I attempts left her dry in 2006 so she returned to the show string as a second freshening four year-old. Again, she was 9th at the ADGA National Show and later champion at the Thurston County Fair then earned her long-awaited, EX90 appraisal to complete the season. 2008 she didn't settle again, so I learned my lesson and didn't even attempt to A/I breed her last fall. Naturally bred, she freshened in March, much to my relief! The year(s) off from milking and now, her aged status aren't helping her current production, none-the-less she was champion at the Idaho Syringa DGA in all four rings over 35 senior does Memorial Day weekend. I look forward to her returning to the show ring and especially the opportunity to improve on her National Show class placing in Sacramento this summer. Her style and smoothness of blending really make her an eye-catching doe.
